The City Government of Balanga, together with TESDA and the Philippine Academy of Technical Studies (PATS), is offering a free Cookery NC II training under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP). This 40-day face-to-face course is a golden opportunity for aspiring chefs or anyone looking to gain practical culinary skills at no cost.

Not only will you learn valuable cooking techniques, but you'll also receive a ₱160 daily allowance and a starter tool kit to help you begin your culinary journey. With this training, you’ll be better prepared for employment in the food industry, gaining both theoretical and hands-on experience to boost your chances of getting hired.

What you need to apply:

  • Birth Certificate (original & photocopy)
  • Marriage Certificate for married women (original & photocopy)
  • School credentials (photocopy) such as Form 137/138, Transcript of Records (TOR), or Diploma
  • Three (3) 1x1 ID pictures (white background, with collar)
  • Three (3) passport-sized ID pictures
  • Submit your documents in a long brown envelope
